A Mother’s Cry for Patience

September 22nd 2015 | Poetry

A Mother’s Cry for Patience,

A Mother’s Cry for Patience

by Cheryle Boyle

Time goes by and no one hears my cry.

I’m tired, I’m tired, so tired I could die.

Kids nag, kids pester. After time all this begins to fester.

God gives me strength. God teaches me to endure.

For what reward, I am not sure.

Send me a message, please make it clear.

The reason, I need to hear!

Another quarrel in the midst.

Patience too easy to resist. Count to 10. Settle the fight.

Sleep deep and well tonight. It all begins again at daylight.
