Out of the mouths of babes…You’ve heard that phrase many times, but have you ever really stopped and thought about the abilities of the children around you. Their innocence leads to much idealism. They are not caught up in the busy day to day chaos that so many of us are. This frees up their minds to just be creative and always think outside the box.

Recently, after my book launch, I was discussing the need to find ways to market my new book. Alexandra, my eight year old granddaughter, shared wisdom well beyond her years. The grandchildren are all too aware of how I enjoy my iPad cases and making them match my iPhone case. Being the matchy-match person that I am; I go to extreme lengths to make this happen. I spend hours searching the internet to find the perfect commerce to create whatever I need.

During this discussion, Alexandra joins in. She states, “Well, you know how to love your iPhone and iPad cases? Why don’t you just make them look like your book!” It was a simplicity that drove the message home. We all looked up at her and declared what a brilliant idea that was.

I then found myself frantically searching the internet for a site which would allow me to upload my image and impatiently await its creation. The first one arrived today; it was for my Kindle. They were unable to make a case to put it in, but something that would suffice, a “skin.”  My Kindle now adorns my book cover.  I am expecting delivery of the iPhone case tomorrow with the same. The iPad case is in the works as well, but I am accepting the initial one with just the front cover. I am still in search of a supplier that will allow the creation of both the front and back cover; I believe the UK can provide such…it’s off to London I go. Whatever your endeavor, include the children, you might be surprised at how much wisdom they truly hold.
